We are very proud to be a part of Fire Door Safety Week 2017. Here at Hodgson Sealants we take fire safety very seriously and ensure that all of our products are tested for use in approved systems where applicable.
We are pleased to announce that our Certifire Certificate No. CF297 document has been updated to include new glass types in order to increase the scope of use for our Firestrip 30, Firestrip 30FD and Firestrip 60 intumescent glazing strip sealant products. This Certificate of Approval relates to the fire resistance of the various Firestrip glazing methods when used in timber screens and timber doors, for a period of 30 or 60-minute fire resistance, as defined by BS 476: Part 22: 1987. In addition we point out the addition of the General Requirements specific to Timber Doorset Applications on page 4 of the document, where the Hodgson Firestrip 30 and Firestrip 60 Tape may be fitted in the manner described in this Certificate of Approval, to previously tested door leaves provided that the particular aspects of the door assembly are maintained.
