Refrigerated vehicle specialist CoolKit is developing its relationship with supplier Hodgson Sealants, by improving the quality of materials used in its conversions.

‘Made In Britain’ Members Working Together’
Hodgson Sealants, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of high quality sealants, has invested in the development of its product range by adding antimicrobial technology provided by BioCote®.

Marc Rampling, Technical and Market Development at Hodgson Sealants, said: “Whilst many products focus on their powerful performance against bacteria, the BioCote® technology contained in our HS30 sealant also has a proven record against a wide range of microbes, such as mould, fungi and even some viruses.

“Hodgson Sealants is delighted that CoolKit have chosen to enhance hygiene within their conversions by incorporating our pioneering hybrid sealant, which now offers proven permanent antimicrobial protection up to 99.99% against an extensive list of microbes.”

CoolKit and Hodgson Sealants, both Made In Britain members, have been working together for a number of years, creating refrigerated conversions that lead the way in the temperature controlled transport industry. The sealant used within the conversions provides that finishing touch to ensure the build is set to last the lifetime of the vehicle whilst keeping the load space hygienic.

Alicia Threlfall, Operations Manager at CoolKit, said: “It’s a pleasure to be working with a supplier who cares as much about quality and durability as we do.

“As industry-leaders we are always on the look-out for the little details that will keep us ahead of the competition. We have customers within the pharmaceuticals, foodservice, catering and analytical testing industries, and it is of paramount importance that our refrigerated conversions remain mould free with as little maintenance as possible.

“The BioCote® addition to the HS30 sealant will allow us to provide our new and existing customers with the peace of mind they require when investing in a CoolKit conversion.”
