Hodgson Sealants have unveiled their latest hybrid flooring sealant, a versatile and safe solution for the professional applicator.
HS66 is formulated to provide superior adhesion, durability and flexibility – making it ideal for a wide range of commercial applications. These include flooring, pedestrian/traffic areas, car parking decks and warehouse/production floor areas.
Importantly, this new formulation has been CE marked for use in pedestrian walkways. This mark is proof that this sealant is compliant with EU safety, health and environmental requirements. HS66 has been stringently tested internally and is therefore safe to use.

“An advantage of HS66 is that it is solvent and isocyanate free. These are a group of organic compounds that are highly reactive and can be hazardous to your health. New restrictions have been put in place on polyurethane technologies, which include the use of isocyanate, and their widespread use.
“Since August 2023, training is required for all professional and industrial users of polyurethane adhesives and sealant products with a total monomeric concentration of > 0.1%. This is because they need to be handled correctly as they can be harmful, unlike hybrid sealants which have no restrictions and are safe. HS66 requires no training to use, making it both safer and more accessible to applicators.”
HS66 offers excellent adhesion to multiple substrates, including porous and non-porous surfaces, with excellent initial grab and primer-less adhesion to most materials. It is ideal to seal many types of joint configurations in floors and civil engineering structures, and is high-performing, highly durable and resistant to wear and tear, positioning HS66 as a premium sealant for the professional market. It also emits low levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), making it an environmentally friendly formulation.
Other features of HS66 include its easy application, with excellent flexibility to absorb floor movement. It is available in white or grey, but is also paintable. Once cured, it can be painted over without the paint affecting the sealant strength. HS66 comes in 310ml cartridges or 600ml foilpack sausages.
