What is HS66?

Why choose a hybrid sealant over polyurethane?
This is one of the most important questions facing specifiers and contractors right now – and the answer has become more pressing since August 2023.
Since that date, all professional and industrial users of polyurethane (PU) adhesives and sealants containing more than 0.1% total monomeric isocyanate concentration are legally required to complete mandatory training before use. This is because isocyanates are highly reactive compounds that can cause serious respiratory and skin sensitisation if not handled correctly.
HS66 contains no isocyanates. There is no training requirement, no additional compliance burden, and no added risk to your workforce or subcontractors. For busy contractors managing multiple trades on site, this is a significant advantage.
Hybrid sealants also offer several technical benefits over traditional PU products:
- No solvents – safer to apply in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces
