A butyl security glazing tape that gives protection against moisture. Tested to BS 6375 (weather tightness) and BS 7950 (security) as part of the D4 glazing system.

Flexibond Security Glazing Strip is a revolutionary advance in glazing sealant materials. Designed for use when installing double glazed units into windows and doors, it incorporates the very latest in rubber polymer technology and does not require a silicone capping. Tested in accordance with BS6375 it provides theultimate in protection against the ingress of moisture in high exposure environments and with outstanding adhesion to glass and timber, it also fully meets the requirements of BS7950:1997.


Installing double glazed units and laminated glass into timber and steel windows and doors. Used in drained and ventilated systems.

Application temperature range: +5ºC to +30ºC Shelf life: 24 months when stored flat in original packaging in cool, dry conditions.


Surface preparation: All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from frost, grease and loose materials.

Application: Apply direct from the reel onto one surface and press sufficiently along its whole length to achieve good initial adhesion. Remove backing paper and offer other surface to the sealant and push firmly to seal across the joint.
