We are pleased to announce the appointment of Danielle Houghton and Gary Thomas as Joint Managing Directors of the Hodgson Group.
In their new roles, they will work together to oversee strategic planning, management of the business, decision-making and the leadership of the senior management team. They will also be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance and shaping the organisation’s structure and culture.
Danielle will be responsible for Finance, Operations, HR & IT, and Gary will be responsible for the Commercial and Technical areas of the business – which incorporates Hodgson Sealants and Britchem.
Having been with Hodgson Sealants for 22 years, Danielle’s new role will involve overseeing business operations, maintaining financial control and driving the company’s people strategy.
Gary, bringing over 30 years of experience in the sealants and adhesive industry, will focus on implementing the group’s commercial and technical strategies. His role will centre on supporting and developing teams to achieve company objectives.
Danielle said:
“I’m excited to embrace the challenges of my new role and work closely with various departments to facilitate new opportunities for growth. Having started as a Cost Accountant and progressed to Finance Director, my new challenge is to engage more with the external business environment, working in close collaboration with colleagues to gain deeper insights into our customers and markets.
“The most rewarding part of my journey with the company has been the opportunity to continue to progress my career whilst raising three children. Balancing work and family life requires flexibility from both myself and the business and I feel fortunate to continue to achieve this with the full support of the business owners.”
Gary commented:
“I feel privileged to be given this opportunity to fulfil the company’s goals whilst keeping our customers at the forefront of everything we do. When I joined Hodgson Sealants in 2019 as Commercial Director, I was enthused by the drive and commitment of the team and nothing has changed my view since. The one thing that has stuck with me throughout my working life is a company is only as good as its people.
