- Silfix U8 is a high quality, LM silicone sealant which is used for a variety of Internal and external works. Available in both 380ml and 400ml sausages, it is low odour, solvent-free, and is used for external sealing such as use around apertures and expansion joints where movement can occur.
- In contrast, Silfix U7 is a HM sanitary silicone used internally. It’s premium quality and thicker bodied nature makes for a quick and smooth application. Containing a powerful fungicide this makes it ideal for use in kitchens, bathrooms and clean rooms.
- HS66 is Hodgson Sealant’s new hybrid sealant for flooring applications. This is a one-part hybrid formulation CE marked for pedestrian walkways. We designed this product specifically for flooring applications, and its hybrid formulation ensures that customers have no concerns regarding health, safety or storage. As it is solvent and isocyanate free the product will always maintain a good finish and not require any specific PPE or training.
- Our HYSPEC 25 sealant is more versatile and suitable for both internal and external use. HYSPEC 25 is high strength, paintable and is used for perimeter sealing of doors and window frames.
- Decorators Caulk has a range of uses internally and externally. It’s a high-performance acrylic sealant which can be used on door frames and skirting boards, sealing cracks in plaster, or for filling small gaps. It’s a cost-effective solution which is quick drying and easy to apply and finish. It can form a skin within 15 minutes when used internally. These new sealants allow for more efficient working. They save time and make the job much simpler.
- PE backing rod is a flexible polyethylene cord. Also known as polycord or backer rod, it is a closed cell joint backing foam, and allows for minimal sealant or mastic to be used. This reduces the overall cost and means the applicator can obtain optimum sealant shape. This in turn prevents joint failure. Backing rod will not rot, thanks to it being both physically and chemically neutral. It’s non-absorbent and can be added into expansion joints and side insulation. This prevents any heat loss from the building.
- Flamestop® Silicone is a one part neutral cure fire rated silicone sealant available in both 380ml cartridges and 600ml sausages. With its excellent adhesion and durability, it is fully tested to provide up to four hours fire resistance. It’s suitable for sealing linear gap joints up to 40mm in both horizontal and vertical joints.
- Intufire® Acrylic has been formulated using a special acrylic emulsion to provide a firm seal while retaining a degree of flexibility. It’s a one part fire resistant and acoustic rated sealant which reduces sound transmission in joints. It will not support combustion and is water based, solvent and halogen free. It’s over-paintable with solvent and water based paints to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
